Friday Foto

here's my Foto memory of the day.
we were visiting friends and the kids love their hanging rope chair.
so much they did fight over who got to sit in it.

this was one sweet moment with my boy.

Little Mudders

It's been beautiful spring weather this past week.
the kids came home from school one day and got out their Playmobil and Lego boats and people and took them down to the muddy puddle by our driveway.
i watched them play.

since it was to be bath night i decided i wanted some fun photos of that puddle.
i asked them if they wanted to participate in my photos.
with a resounding YES!
we got ready.
these are the results of enjoying the mud.

it was cold!
but so much fun for all of us.
they were quite excited for their baths afterward.

i love these moments.

86/365 & 87/365

day 86:
Where I Stand
this was still in March...

so there i stood.
in the snow.
dreaming of the thaw.

then hopped my freezing feet into a warm bath!

day 87:
Foreground

this rounds out my March leg of the photo challenge.
onto April next.

62/365

Monday March 3rd was the 62nd day of the challenge.
i took some photos this day.

the theme? you ask.
it was a Macro theme.

day 62:
Choose a Favorite
favorite?
hmmm.
something i could take in Macro.
my girl was having a bath, and i saw her little feet.
i had her put her feet up for me and took this photo of her little piggies.

i approached my boy for some assistance with this one.

we set up the tripod, removed the lens, reversed it and he took the following photos,
with my help.

i had him pick a favorite piece of Lego.
he chose this blue diamond.
from his museum set.

we had to have someone stealing the blue diamond.

12/365 & 13/365

that's right...

12 & 13.

i didn't do 11.

i skipped it.
not intentionally.
but at least i did take a photo or two that day,
so it's not like Gertie just sat alone all day never being taken out to play.
check out HERE for the photos taken on the 11th

as for number 12 & 13...

day 12:
Footprints
this is my daughter's footprint.
she's 4.
when she got home from a friend's birthday party i asked if she would help me with my photo.
she giggled and squirmed a lot as i painted her feet.

day 13:
Word of Encouragement
i took a picture of wordS or encouragement.

in the mornings, while the kids eat breakfast, we read the Bible and memorize our verses.
on friday i began recording our prayer items.

my boy wanted to thank God for the 4th point under Thanks.
my girl wanted to Thank God for the 5th one under Thanks.

the coolest thing today:
as we were writing down the three things today my boy asked if he could have the list so he could be the one to pray for them.
of course.

day 18

day 18:
Shoes.

i don't enjoy wearing shoes.
so i did footwear instead.

i wear these beauts from when the snow is mostly gone until my feet are too numb to survive two minutes outside.
even in the chill..the rain...i will wear them as long as i can stand it.

and this year i bought myself some comfy cozy slippers.
(thank you value village)

shoes and i do not get along.
(although i do have a sweet pair of brown skate shoes i do love come colder weather)

day 2

alright.
day 2.
what you wore.

hmmm...

i could go with the "here's what i wore today" photo
or
i could go with a "here's what i wore for something special."

i went with both.

i did Tough Mudder on the weekend.
here's what i wore, all cleaned and hanging out to dry.

here's what i wore today.
my favorite footwear.
my birkenstocks.

day 3 tomorrow.

Out for a Sunday Stroll

it was a beautiful spring day on Sunday.
we got out for a walk.
we put on our rain..puddle..mud..rubber boots (whatever you want to call them).
into the wagon went our son (who's sick right now)
and onto the road we went.

that's right.
road.
not bush.
so then why the rubber boots?

our town is in emergency mode.
due to flooding.

The kids were riding their bikes on this road just 2 weeks ago...
i was running on this road last week.
we were now going to wade on this road.

afterward,
we went in to town to check things out.
i'll post those later.

Winter walk: blue

on the weekend i had a chance to take a walk out back.
just me, the dog and my camera.
what a great walk it was.
i got to play with my camera settings.
my goals:
1. to capture the sparkle of the sun off the snow.
2. to capture the bold shadows.

my christmas gift from my husband.

loved these troopers.  hanging on for dear life.

i took this purely because it was a white and a yellow birch.  i'm a geek.

look at the stars on the snow.

"See ya later."

**these are not edited.**
(except for adding my name)
i just feel like showing you what i had originally
taken with my Canon T2i

We Will Remember

Yesterday was Remembrance Day.
the hubby and i brought the kids to the ceremony at the Legion.
Then we went downtown for the parade.

Here they come.

The government appointed day has come and gone.
may we remember, every day, the sacrifice given.

Thank You
to all the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for the freedom we have here in Canada.
(i'm a dual citizen, so i'm thankful for the freedoms here and in the States.)
